Knoxville Lifestlye Family Photographer - Hannah Bucklin- welcomes new baby to the Bucklin crew!
I know I know it has been a few months and still I've shared no news of Julianna Betty making her debut. Well the time has come where I am hiding in my office in the middle of the night writing this blog post 3 months after delivery for all of you to see our newest bundle of joy! Meet Julianna Betty Bucklin!
She arrived in an insanely crazy fashion with an emergency c-section on April 15th, 2023 at 4:20pm! Yep. We've got a tax baby! She is the sweetest addition to our family and we can't wait to watch her grow.
Super long story short, when you have a lot of babies you get a floppy uterus. When you have a floppy uterus your baby can move freely at their own will which is exactly what she did when she decided she didn't want to come out and flipped transverse on me when I was 7 cm without an epidural. They took me back to the OR to try and do a version (this is when they rub your belly with mineral oil and try to flip the baby back into the head down position) but she refused to cooperate and her heart rate dipped twice and it was decided it would be safest for us both to do the c-section.
After having four vaginal deliveries each getting faster and faster I just knew that she would fly out but boy was I wrong. However, I am glad I have gotten to experience both delivery methods and even more glad that she is here safe and sound.
Here are a few pictures that Karen Stone took for us when she hung out with us for about 15 hours that day. Bless her soul she was a trooper. The pictures and the story it tells with all the love that was captured in these pictures are priceless and I will forever cherish them. The only downside is that I didn't do this for the other four babies!
