Lifestyle Family Photography Session with The Dixon's at Meads Quarry
When I met Sarah, Cody, and Jordan for their lifestyle family photography session at Meads Quarry, Jordan started walking towards me carrying what looked to be a tiny stuffed animal. It's very common that kids that I photograph will bring a favorite toy or stuffed animal with them so that they feel a little more at ease at their session; (I actually encourage this as one of my tips for photography with toddlers.) The closer he got the more excited I was to see what friend he brought with him to their session!
As he finally stands in front of me I bent down to ask him who he brought and he said JJ and then proceeded to put him down. I was a little confused until I realized that JJ was in fact a real dog! Everyone started laughing and I was literally astonished. I had absolutely no idea that this "stuffed animal" was indeed a real 2 pound Boston Terrier puppy! He was the most still content puppy I'd ever seen which is why he gave off the "stuffed animal" vibe to me!
Needless to say, it was a fun surprise for me but I'm sure an even more fun surprise for Jordan because JJ was his birthday gift for turning four! After I oogled over the little pup, the rest of our session was spent laughing, playing, and calling for JJ because we were afraid he was going to get lost in the bushes since he only stands about 5 inches tall.
